THE THREE BIGGEST FOOLS IN VICTORIA …
Fools are mentioned about 80 times in the Book of
Proverbs alone!! The ‘lazy man’, the
‘liar’, the ‘proud’, the ‘boasting’ … all these and more are described by God
Himself as “Fools”.
Abner died like a fool (II Samuel 3:33); Saul ‘played the fool’ (I Samuel
26:21); Ezekiel predicts the doom of
the ‘foolish prophets’ (13:3); and the
Lord Jesus calls the Pharisees “Fools!” (Luke 11:39-40).
Some folk, whom are designated as ‘fools’ in the
Bible, are still with us …
1. THE
FOOL SAYS “THERE IS NO GOD” … Psalm 14:1
Yet Creation demands a Creator. Every blade of grass, every fingerprint,
every spinning solar system, every living creature … testify to the fact that
there is a God.
People would rather swallow the ‘theory’ of
Evolution than accept the facts of God’s Word.
Just as sad are those who say that they believe in
God … and then live as if He does not exist.
The Bible says … “Fool!”
2. “FOOLS … SLOW OF HEART TO BELIEVE ALL
THAT THE PROPHETS HAVE WRITTEN” … Luke 24:25
The man who rejects the Word of God and its message
of salvation is a fool.
The Bible has stood the test of time. Critics have attacked it … apostates have
burned it … still it continues as a ‘lamp in a dark place’ to guide our
footsteps aright.
The accuracy of Bible prophecy is another evidence
of the super natural origin of this Book … it was penned by holy men inspired
by the Holy Spirit.
3. “THOU FOOL … THIS NIGHT THY SOUL IS
REQUIRED OF THEE” … Luke 12:20
The person who fails to prepare for Eternity, says
the Lord, is a fool.
He told the parable of the man who spent time
planning ahead … bigger barns, more money … and yet failed to prepare for the
visit of the Grim Reaper.
Do you believe God exists? And if you do, do you live in obedience to what He commands??
Do you believe the Bible to be true? And if you do, do you do what it says??
Do you know if you are ready to meet your God? Is Christ your Lord and Saviour?? Do you have that assurance that if you were
to die tonight you would go to Heaven??
