1. A PART REMEMBRANCE

I met Jesus at the cross-roads.

Where the two ways meet:

Satan, too, was standing there,

and he said “Come this way,

Lots and lots of pleasures

I can give to you today.”

But I said, “No, there’s Jesus here,

Just see what He offers me:

Down here my sins forgiven,

Up there, a home in heaven.”

Praise God, that’s the way for me.

2. A PRESENT REALITY … Romans 6:1-11

Baptism, by immersion, is a picture of being ‘buried’ to the old sinful way of life and ‘rising’ to follow in His way (vs. 4-5).

It is a public confession to others that from henceforth we are following the Lord Jesus. And it is the way … or one of the ways … He commanded. (Have you obeyed Him this matter?)

3. A FUTURE RESURRECTION … 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18

The Day is coming when the Trumpet will sound, and the Archangel will shout, and the Lord Jesus will return, and the graves will be opened!! (See John 5:28.)
